New York native self -taught artist Radisha James (RJAE)

is a creative soul who loves expressing her ideas and emotions through art. 

She has been an artist since her earliest years, exploring different forms and styles of art to discover the one that speaks to her the most. She is passionate about connecting with others through her work and inspiring others to create something special. She strives to bring joy, raw emotions and light to her art, and to the world.

My artistic style radiates with the power and strength of the movement that it serves. Through my vibrant works, I have sought to bring attention and support to the issues at the heart of the struggle for Black liberation and justice. My portraits and artwork capture the very essence of the fight for equality, and the beauty of resilience it entails. My work stands as a tribute to the resilience that beats at the heart of black heritage, a testament to how, against all odds, we have emerged and continue to rise

I transition seamlessly through digital to acrylics, oil and pastel -employing a palette informed by the vibrant hues and cultural symbolism intrinsic to Black art. This tactile element breathes life into the work, as I layer and manipulate through mediums, to infuse depth and character, ensuring that each piece carries the weight of the stories it tells.

Through this unique blend of mediums, I aim to capture the subtleties of emotion, evoking a sense of connection between subject and viewer.
